Question:

Mike, that was a great looking hawg.largemouth bass wallpaper  I normally don’t scan the pic group too much (sour apples and all that stuff), but I wanted to see what a 14# bass looked like.  I’d have been happy with two bass over seven! Warren Funk

largemouth bass wallpaper, Glad you liked the photo.  Us Texans have you Floridian’s to thank for all of our BIG bass here, all these fish flew up from Florida and then grew big and strong in our little ole lakes. Anyway, I caught this fish on July 24th at 5:00 P.M.  It was 106 degrees outside.  I had arrived at the lake ( Ray Roberts Res ) at four and it was so darn hot that I gave up on fishin and then had a couple of beers.  After the two beers I decided to jump in the lake to cool off some more.  The water made me feel a little better and I began to fish. Well, I was pitchin a 10 inch Berkely Red Shad off of a channel thinkin to myself that the fish were probably sitting in 40 foot of water with a bad case of “TOO HOT!! – LOCK JAW TIME” largemouth bass wallpaper and decided to fish shallow just for the fun of it.  I threw the worm next to a stump in 2 foot of water and watched my line swim off for territories unknown.  So, I set the hook and the fish went straight for the timber ( Lot’s of timber in Texas ) . The fish was pullin pretty hard, but I thought that was because it was hung up in the timber, so I just started to horse the fish out of the timber ( 7 foot rod with 20lb test ).  That fish broke surface and I thought “Holy SXXT! Lake Record!!!!”. Beleive it or not, I jerked the fish right from the water into the boat.  I didn’t even try to lip the fish.  She had already broken the butt of my rod.  Took the fish in and had it certified, largemouth bass wallpaper it was 2 oz off the lake record. During the next two hours I caught 3 more fish over 7lbs.  It was the most spectacular day I have ever had.  To heck with those lakes in Mexico, I ain’t ever gonna leave Texas. That’s it See Ya, Mike * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet’s Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet – Free!

Basstasic presents “Bass’n World”.  Basstasic is comprised of 1 Everstart Central Pro, 1 B.A.S.S., Central Division Pro, 2 Redman Trail Pros, and 1 soon to be Redman Pro (Rookie Season 2000).

This is a neat site with lots of room for improvement in basic writing.  Also, it’s too bad the name is not spelled “Basstastic”! Guy A Ripley, TN

Excellent job with the pics page Moe, maybe one day soon you’ll have my ugly mug to post; course there would be shadows in appropriate places. Really like that 14lber.

Rod my man, glad to see you still lurking. If the shadows arn’t there, be assured I will place some in the appropriate areas. :-) — Good Fishing – Moe Moe’s Guide Service (Lake Okeechobee) – http://members.aol.com/moefran/index.html To view or post newsgroup ROBF Photos http://members.aol.com/recbass/robf_index.html

Basstasic presents “Bass’n World”.  Basstasic is comprised of 1 Everstart Central Pro, 1 B.A.S.S., Central Division Pro, 2 Redman Trail Pros, and 1 soon to be Redman Pro (Rookie Season 2000). The focus of this site is to give the amateur and/or club tournament angler a jump start on improving their skills, so that they can turn pro and hopefully have a winning season their first year out of the gates. By winning, we mean, they win more money than it costs them to fish that season (travel, entry fees, food, lodging, gas, etc.). Every one at Basstasic knows what it is like trying to convince your spouse that tournament fishing is worthwhile when it is costing you more to fish them than you are winning. Basstasic will update its web site as needed to keep up with the latest and greatest bassing news.  But its fishing tips are currently only updated every two weeks.  As our readership increases, we will begin to update the fishing tips at a frequency to ensure our readers are completely satisfied. Drop us a note, and tell us exactly what you think.  If you think our web site stinks, lets us have it! If you think our web site is great, let us know that too.  Tell us where we can better serve your needs and how we improve.  Also tell us what you want us to keep on doing so that we don’t change it because only a few people. Finally, yes we advertise for and encourage our readers to take fully advantage of all our sponsors and their products.  Sorry, but our sponsors are what makes this web site possible.
