A Poll??used bass tracker fishing boats

Question:

I’m wondering how many used bass tracker fishing boats people here use a bead when fishing a Texas Rigged plastic. I’m beginning to rethink my thoughts of using one 99% of the time. So… when, where, and what conditions would call for a bead? Also, what determines the bead size? I only use 8mm with a brass ticker. Discussion?used bass tracker fishing boats

Response:

I always use three beads on my Carolina rigs – one in front of the lead and two behind it between it and the swivel.  I get them at Walmart sewing section in bags of almost 200 for a couple of dollars – not sure what size they are. Not sure if they matter -used bass tracker fishing boats maybe the bead ahead of the lead helps it clear trash sometimes and the two between the lead and swivel may click when I shake the rod tip, and they may help protect the knot.  Or maybe it is all just  habit. Response:

Haven’t thought about looking there at Wal-Mart. Are they basically the same thing? You also could send that tip into Harry and Charlie’s! Might get you a new hat!

when fishing a Texas Rigged plastic. <<snip I haven’t used them at all on t-rigs. I probably should at night though. I do put 1 behind the weight on c-rigs. Like Ronnie said, although I haven’t gotten c-rig beads from the craft section, I do buy the small slip float beads from there. — Thanks to all you military (past and present) for the freedoms you have protected for us. God bless you.

Response:

Never have used beads on a T-Rig, but like the others always on a C-Rig one in front, one in back. I think I will start with the two behind. I had not thought about buying at the craft section. Jake

Never!  I use either Florida Rig bullets or very small 1/32 to 1/8 bullets. Craig — Articles, fishing tips, club locator, dnr bass boats, christain anglers, fish records LEARN THE PRO’S SECRET http://www.yessssports.com/

I’ve never figured out how hard glass is thought to be less damaging to monofilament than soft lead. RichZ
