Don, Very helpful, keep it coming. Todd – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Newsgroups: rec.outdoors.fishing.bass This was the first lecture by Woo Daves on shallow water worm fishing techniques. 1. Water temp 52 degrees.fishing start to go shallow 2. Use a spinning rod 6 1/2ft MH with 8-10 lb test. 3. 1/8 oz slip sinker, heavier if wind requires it.  No wind 1/16 oz sinker. 4. You want a slow falling worm presentation. 5. 2/0 straight shank hook (Woo likes Mustad hooks).  Do not use a J-Bend hook. 6. Easier to set the hook with this setup. 7. Don’t use a 4/0 or 5/0 hook with a 6 inch worm. 8. Presentation must look natural.rig a fish tv monitor in a bass  Maybe even use a 1/0 hook. 9. Paint sinker to match the worm.  Woo uses Herbie’s magic dust.  Heat the sinker and dip it in the dust to color the weight. 10.  Insert a toothpick in the bottom of the sinker and break it off. 11.  Only use a screw in sinker when fishing heavy grass. 12.  Use a 6 inch straight tail worm in cool water  (50-55 degrees) 13.  Use a 6 inch curly tail worm in warm water 55 degrees. 14.  Curly tail worm works better for active bass. 15.  Texas rig the sinker
