That’s my guess. Aside from bedding bass, I’ve never seen a feeding bass grab the tip of a worm. They generally inhale the whole thing. I’ll bet about 60% of the bites I get on plastics are non-bass. Warren – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Might be pan fish trying to eat your worm also.

SC, I would say that it is probably Blue Gill or something doing that. If it isn’t go to a 4 in and try it. — If you caught fish everytime you went out it would be called catching, not fishing. May your fish be as big as your lies. Biggin

Know what you mean. I’ve gone to Finesse and 4″ Yamamoto worms rigging wackey or Texas with the hook down halfway through the worm. Seems to help. I’ve been using 7″ Zoom worms and lizards, and the bass seem to be grabbing the tail and swimming away with it without getting the
