98 Ohio Bass Question largemouth bass record

Question:

I live in Virginia, but visit largemouth bass record in-laws in Ohio several times a year.  I-76 goes over a large lake east of Akron.  What lake is that and how’s the fishing? Thanks,       I reside in Ohio and, as you probably ascertained, fish for bass. However, I don’t really get to go out and try all of the bodies of water in Ohio, and therefor usually fish smaller, private bodies of water.  They have been good to me, but I still year for more.      The question at hand is this; what have been productive waters in Ohio for bass in 98, and what may be productive in 99?largemouth bass record  The criteria is as such, yield and size, and also fishability (ease of access and light competition from other people). If you have found any particular body of water to be bountiful, and/or have a hunch as to what might be in this new year, please let me know. Thanks

Response:

Actually you go over two. The first one  largemouth bass record( Western most ) is Lake Milton. It has walleye, Musky, smallmouth and largemouth bass. The second is Meandor Reservoir. It is the water supply for Youngstown and is completly restricted.

You might try this link   http://www.great-lakes.org/fish_oh or consider hitting the Lake Metro Parks which manages the Grand river just about forty miles north of whre you are speaking.  It’s a great stream to fish all year round…. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I live in Virginia, but visit in-laws in Ohio several times a year.  I-76 goes over a large lake east of Akron.  What lake is that and how’s the fishing?
